Skin tags are a very common skin ailment that affects millions. Skin tags are a benign growth of cells that protrude out from the skin. There are many ways to remove skin tags, but this is one of the quickest and simplest ways to remove a skin tag pain free. Salicylic acid wart removing patches can be purchased at many drug stores for about $3 to $4. Salicylic acid is the active ingredient in aspirin. When it is used as a skin treatment, it is known as a keratolytic. A keratolytic causes the skin to loosen and then shed, effectively removing the wart or skin tag little by little. This is the reason it is so painless.
Step 1
Remove the patch from its package by cutting the top off.
Step 2
Cut a small square a little larger than your skin tag with the scissors.
Step 3
Put the rest of the patch inside the packaging and save it for the next application.
Step 4
Place the patch over your skin tag and press down firmly. Most patches have adhesive on them to hold the patch in place.
Step 5
Place a bandage over the patch. Press firmly on each side to ensure that the bandage will stay in place.
Step 6
Remove the dressing in 24 hours. You should notice that the skin tag is smaller and there may even be some dead skin on top.
Step 7
Wash the skin tag with some water and dry it off with a towel.
Step 8
Repeat Steps 2 through 7 until the skin tag is gone. This process shouldn't take more than a few days.
